I have added a few new features recently:

• Better validation when creating new posts
• Initial support for forum icons/banners/descriptions
• Added email support (Amazon SES) for generating system emails, notifications, etc.
• Scaffolding basic account creation (development branch)

That being said there is still a fair amount of work that needs to be done before account creation is generally available. Look for more updates to come soon.
